Pain below or behind the kneecap (patella) that is most often caused by running and/or sports with large amounts of jumping (Basketball, Volleyball).
Our Approach to Knee Pain
Typical Treatment: Strengthening/stretching of the quadriceps muscle focusing on tracking of the patella with proprioception training.
Recent MRI studies have confirmed the femur (long bone of the thigh) actually moves into the patella (knee cap) instead of a tracking or weakness that involves the quadriceps muscle.
